Caller Privacy

No audio recording stored : nFADP and GDPR compliant

1. Who are we?

Pregia is an intelligent voice receptionist service used by your hotel to answer phone calls. When you call an establishment using our service, your call is handled by our artificial intelligence technology.

This page informs you about the processing of your personal data during your call, in accordance with the Swiss Federal Act on Data Protection (nFADP) and the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).

2. Data processed during your call

During your call, the following data is processed:

  • Your phone number — kept in plain text in the establishment's call history, which needs it to call you back. Your stored preferences, however, are indexed on an irreversible fingerprint (SHA-256), never on your number.
  • Conversation transcript — the text content of your exchange with the voice agent, stored for a maximum of 90 days.
  • Call metadata — date, time, duration, stored for 12 months.
  • Preferences and context — if you are a regular caller, the agent may remember your preferences to personalize the service (contextual memory).

What we do NOT store

  • No audio recording of your call
  • No banking or payment data
  • Your number is only accessible to the establishment you called

3. Retention periods

DataRetention period

Metadata (date, duration)12 months at Pregia, 13 months at the telephony provider

4. Sub-processors involved

To process your call, the following technologies are used:

  • Speech recognition — conversion of your voice to text (Speech-to-Text) without audio data retention.
  • Conversational AI — intelligent response generation. Conversations are not used to train models.
  • Voice synthesis — conversion of text to natural voice (Text-to-Speech).

The database is stored in Switzerland (Zurich). Real-time voice processing of your call is carried out by providers located in the United States, governed by the Swiss-US and EU-US Data Privacy Framework and Standard Contractual Clauses (SCCs); they retain neither the audio nor the transcript of your call.

5. Your rights

As a caller, you have the following rights:

  • Right of access — obtain a copy of data concerning you.
  • Right to erasure — request deletion of your data (transcripts, contextual memory).
  • Right to object — object to the memorization of your preferences (contextual memory).
  • Right to restriction — request restriction of the processing of your data.
